Mt. Batulao

The jumpoff point to Mt. Batulao is the Evercrest Golf Course in Nasugbu. From the entrance, you can walk or ride a tricycle—a local three-wheeler—to the trail start. Local guides, some of whom are children, usually offer their services at the entry.

Mt. Maculot

Among the most well-known hiking venues in the Philippines is Mount Maculot. Rising 930 meters above sea level, this mountain is Climbing to the top, scoring 4/9 in difficulty level. A reasonably physically fit person can traverse the mountain trail even if certain areas are muddy, steep, and treacherous.
Trekking to Mount Maculot usually takes five to six hours. Some hikers begin the trek before daybreak to maximise sunrise views.
Mount Maculot sits in Batangas’ Barangay Cuenca. Before trekking, you must pay a fee and register with the local authorities. You must also pay a qualified guide to guarantee safe travel.

Off the coast of Anilao sits Sombrero Island. Usually starting from Anilao’s shoreline, visitors travel the island by boat. The boat trip from the mainland runs fifteen to twenty minutes. Still, sea conditions could affect trip time.
Arriving on Sombrero Island requires payment of a charge. Apart from snorkelling, you can swim and picnic on the shore. You can also stroll about the island. It is tiny enough that exploring it will take less than an hour.
There are no hotels, stores, or tourism infrastructure on Sombrero Island; it is uninhabited. Overnight visits are not allowed. You must bring your own meals and beverages, but make sure you clean up after yourself and pack your rubbish with you.

Taal Basilica

Basilica of St. Martin de Tours is the formal name of Taal Basilica. Perched near the centre of Taal Town, it towers over a hill. This basilica is rather large—96 meters high and 45 meters wide. This one is often referred to as the biggest Catholic Church in Asia.
Taal Basilica underwent repeated reconstruction in the 19th century. Architect Luciano Oliver redesigned the church in 1856, explaining its Baroque look.
Similar to St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, the church’s principal attractions are its silver tabernacle and facade. Indeed, the 26 ancient columns of Taal Basilica at the entryway are quite amazing!

Monte Maria’s peculiarity makes it among Batangas’s most popular tourist destinations. It is supposed to be both a tourist and religious place. While pilgrims and devotees find appeal in Monte Maria, it also serves regular visitors.
Officially called Mother of All Asia-Tower of Peace, the Virgin Mary Shrine is the centre’s most famous monument. Considered one of the highest Virgin Mary sculptures in the world, this tower stands at more than 98 meters. About 148 meters above sea level, it is perched atop a plateau.
