Adaone’s delivers Asian-Western fusion food in a cosy setting with good music. Their culinary presentation is elegant, perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner. They also have live music on certain nights. Their nachos with salsa and cheese are my favourite. They serve pasta for larger meals, and my companion enjoyed the rare steak prepared by the chef. Their drinks are good, but their halo-halo doesn’t taste Filipino. Unfortunately, this is not a “student” food trip. Their rice supper costs 200 PHP per plate. This place has the best local service.
Shoppers and students frequent Jelo’s in the town centre. It is a foodie paradise with a vast variety of drinks, foods, and sweets. My favourites include chopsuey, salpicao, and liempo. However, their mango shake tastes more like concentrated juice than fresh mango. The coffee is good but expensive.
This is the destination for authentic Filipino food. Chef Leo knows exactly how to showcase decadent dishes like crispy pata. Best place for an occasional drink and a pig-out. They make great chicken sa gata. The restaurant is for casual diners who desire good local food. Private KTV rooms are available for small parties. Dim lighting and salty fried chicken are issues.
